My 2004 Pro4x rear diff broke due to known issue at 106k miles and it costed me $2800 to replace in 2009. I ended up putting 186k miles on this truck before trading up in 2013. I also installed a leveling kit and ended up having to replace the front axle shafts twice because the boots continued to split prematurely even when dealer parts were used. The front axles seem to pop out easily but did not before the leveling kit. I would not recommend the leveling kit.

My 2011 Pro4x front diff ended up being replaced under warranty at 60k miles. The truck was making a driver side wheel hub bearing sound. I am disappointed that even after 7 years in production, the diff issues still exist. Luckily I have the 100k warranty. Not installing leveling kit here.

I havnt had issues with the front axles popping out, yet, on 04 2" coil over lift with 33s and I would like to keep it that way. The question is, Im replacing one axle for a torn cv boot so Im going to just throw in two new axles... What are the best axles I can get, has there been any company to fix the weak point where they are snapping off. There dosnt seem to be any HD options. Ive looked at detroit axle which are manufactured axles in the US for $70 a piece and other random brand axles from $70-$150 each. What is the best opiton? Im replacing both front wheel hubs/bearing with timken, moog front steering/suspension 12 peice rebuild, Icon VD shocks all around and ebc rotors with yellow stuff. So Im doing everthing with top notch parts and cant find any top notch axles. Any insight would be helpful.

txport - your disappointed!, I've had 5 differentials in my truck before it was 1 year old it's a 2015 pro4x.
Nissan Canada can't fix it so I was told "it's performing as designed" so we will not replace it, they won't even talk to me, they make the dealer do it when it is WAY above the dealer level to say the least I'm pi$$ed!
Nissan is just another crappy car company who when they get your money they ignore their problems.
If I was to do it again I would buy a Yugo, at least you know what your getting!
