Looking at that thread earlier, that was brought up from a few years ago by the chick called BeeJ, it reminded me of something I read somewhere and it looks like it must be other places too:

Are there people who actually complain about the Titan exhaust note? Holy smokes! One of the things that Nissan did with this truck that sold me is they finally made a truck that came from the factory with the exhaust note that a truck should have. I see in so many places reviews that rag on the "annoying exhaust note" of the Titan and I wonder if these people are serious about that complaint! An awesome exhaust note without an annoying drone? Perfect to me. I like to be able to hear what the engine is doing but not too much.

Did I read somewhere that Nissan actually listened to this and quieted the truck down from 07 on up? Man would that be a step backwards.

Does anyone here think that the exhaust note is too loud?

I agree with Beauty.... I drove every vehicle in this class.
1. Chevy Silverado- No way I'm paying $30k+ for a chevy
2. Ford f-150- Same thing plus the sales goof treated me like my $30k+ wasn't good
3. Honda Ridgeline- I know....had to drive it though
4.Tundra- didn't have the balls I was looking for.
5. Dodge- Forget it..never a Chrysler

The test drive and the sound of the exhaust sold me. It was the feeling of excitement from the start.

The sound is great IMO. If I'm outside and see a Titan coming I listen, along with a wave as it gos bye.

Yeah I agree 100%. Anyone complaining about it shouldn't have purchased it...it's not like a surprise.

I took my 08 for a drive and it was one of the first things that caught me by surprise. I had been test driving for a month and this was the first truck that sounded like ***shocking*** A TRUCK!

Now with the magnaflow muffler installed it sounds like what the evil headless horseman coming to collect his bag of souls would drive. muhahah

I heard a titan with the banks system on it for the first time in person yesterday all I can say is WOW....I can't wait for my titan too hopefully get fixed next week so I can put on my magnaflow that should be sitting on my door step today...

I love the exhaust note. It's not loud at all. You can only hear it slightly when accelerating from inside, but it sounds so good when you start it up. I don't hear it at all going down the road.

The first time I test drove one, the passenger door was open and I was able to get the full effect of the exhaust & when I fired it up & my girlfriend laughed at me because I had a big grin on my face.

I think the sound of my Titan starting up is the greatest sound in the world. Of course, I had a flowmaster and duel tail pipes installed. I seriously haven't heard a better sound from any vehicle.
