Ok everyone, I need to know if this is normal or how can I disable this feature. this is a 2006 Titan xe. If you unlock the door with the key remote and open the door, and do not start the engine, after 30 seconds or so, (i have never Timed it) the doors automatically lock back! This has cause me to lock my keys in the truck twice now! Any idea how to get rid of this feature? It is very annoying!

the system is designed to relock after 30 seconds if the doors are not opened. This is in case of an accidental unlock from the fob in your pocket.

opening your door should stop the relock feature. if it doesnt, the ecm, or bcm is not registering the door opening.

are you dome lights working? try another door, and see if its just that one door?

This.

If this is too confusing it means that beason is correct and I'm agreeing. Hopefully this clears up any misconception.

It means that beason is correct in his assessment and that the door lock feature should NOT happen if the truck recognizes the door has been opened.

Edit: I fixed it. Any other questions?

I turned that feature off years ago. If you have the navigation screen I think it is in the system settings.
