2004 Deepwater Blue 4x4 KC, purchased 2/14/2004.

Problems:
TPS Sensor
KC Door wiring short
2 bolts holding skid plate broke during first oil change
Brake Judder (Turned Rotors)
Brake Judder (TSB Performed)
Leaking transmission cooler lines
Leaking power steering lines
Drivers seat back would not stay hooked
Chromed plastic on mirrors and front end had started to pit
Rear door handle broke
Mystery noise from front end when turning sharp left only
Leaking rear diff seals

All problems were fixed under warranty except the mystery noise, chrome pitting, and the rear seal leaks. Nissan USA, as expected, did not help out with the rear seals. They stated the following reason, and I quote, "dealer claims some type of purple fluid in rear diff, and an aftermarket diff cover resulted in too much fluid in diff, causing seal leaks."
One day after getting the truck back from the seal leak repair, where the dealer changed the rear diff fluid, the vent was spitting out fluid again.
Got rid of the truck 8/27, with 60,500 miles on it.
So, last night I get a call from a guy in Alabama. He bought my Titan, and he has had a steering failure and the local dealer down there says the rear diff. is shot. He was pretty pissed, but he did get a 90 day warranty from the place he purchased the truck, so hopefully he will get it fixed right. I did give him the invoice numbers for the dealer visits I had where the dealer here stated the front end noise was due to the tires, and the "85 point check" showed everything was okay, and they stated the drive-line noise was normal and the rear diff was sound after the seal repalcement. I told him he should take the invoice numbers and call Nissan USA and see what they have to say.

So, the local dealer here REALLY sucks, Nissan wanted to be like the big 3 with a full-size truck. I think they hit the nail on the head!

For you d%$kh^%ds who will reply "why when someone has problems they rant on and on" usually it takes this much crap to happen before we get to the end of our rope. Hopefully, most of these problems have been resolved by the 2008 model, but there are a lot of parts on this truck that haven't been changed since it came out, so I expect the problems to continue on some trucks.

Sorry to hear of your trouble.
Glad you're happy it's not causing you any more grief. And yes, there will be problems with ALL vehicle models from time to time. You seem to have gotten a particularly bad version of this AWESOME truck. I've got an '06 with NO issues that plagued you. Hopefully the new owner can get it fixed by his dealer.

It's time to move on....... :smoke: The future is ahead....leave the past behind.
