Had to share my story... I just got a sweet deal here locally on a pellet stove that came with 3 tons of fuel for free if purchased by 31Jul. Well last night I took delivery of the stove and 1 ton of pellets, all in the box of my TITAN, I've got an '07 KC 4x4.

Needless to say I was abit nervous about heading down the road seeing as I'd blown my weight limit by about 500+/- lbs :teethmast but she handled it wounderfully. She was weighted down, bed riding on the rubber stop but hey I only had less than 10 miles to get it all home, yeeee haaaa !!!

I just checked out the stats on the 08's at the nissanusa web site and for a KC 4x4 payload is 1870 so I guess I wasn't streching that much...:futwice:

Just curious has anyone else run their TITAN over the hauling limit ?? Am I a nut ?? Let me know, don't worry, I've got thick skin...

I just did landscaping on my home, the Titan came in handy. I'm talking plants, mulch, dirts and a water fountain. Two trips was all I needed.:D

according to my 07 booklet the payload is 1420. With 2000 lbs of pellets, the stove and you in the vehicle you were WAY over. BTW pics next time:)
BB,

Ohhhhh My you're right.... I kept searching and the 2008 numbers are much much better that 2007. Cargurus had the specs for 2007 payload std/max and I'm only rated at 1587 for the XE KC 4x4...:crying: I'lll take a look at my literature when I get home too. Oh well, I've got two more 1 ton pick-ups and I'm only makin' 2 trips, not 4.

Pics will be with the next ton pallet, I should have another camera by then... I'd would have had one from last night but some scumbag stole our camera out of the wife's BMW when she and the kids were at the beach a few weeks back. She didn't lock the car and the windows were down.

All trucks can go way over the limit....its just a safety thing for the manufactures. I've gone on long trips with over 6000 pds. in my dads Chevy dually!! Lil lite on the front end, but all good!
Just to close the loop, BB was right on 1420 max payload in the '07 lit, and pics as promised... the beast handled it like a champ.

I hear you on that one. Has two yards of mulch thrown in the back of the Titan with no problems (wish I took pics). Its a good feeling knowing you have a vehicle that you can just toss heavy items in and limit back and forth trips. The Titan is my 1st P/U and I get a great sense of satisfaction when I can haul large items or help a friend haul some stuff.
My buddy did the same thing with his Tundra and he thought he was OK until about a week later he found out all his leaf springs in the rear were snapped? I'd be really carefull. Those limits are for a reason.
