Well it happened. I found the Titan to replace my D21. It is an exact match to what I was looking for. My parents in CT have put a deposit on it, and I will be going 9 hrs and picking it up. At least the engine will be half broken in when I get back.

I will let everyone know how the long drive is in it.

Just for fun I test drove one like it, will not buy a black truck!!

I don't know what the complaints about the RF sterio are about. It is strong enough to make your ears blead! Music from ELO, Queen, Led Zep, and Cheryl Crow all sounded clear and well defined! The bass will eliminate the need for a massage chair at home!

At human levels the sound is very good.

Great ! Doghouse your gonna light up the board when you get back. I think the RF system is great with CD's however some radio staions don't sound as good as I would like them. I had a Sony in my Tacoma that had adjustments for different types of music like my surround system at home and I wish this RF had the same. EX. vocal, jazz, classical, rock. etc.

If you live in the south, a black vehicle in the sun will cook you when you get in! We had a black Pathfinder (my wife's) and she ended up popping a window from the heat!

It is not worth it. Although the auto down windows would help... Roll down from office, relock, go down to truck vended out.

Several years ago I read an article concerning the heat buildup in cars that were black or dark colored. The article was well researched and stated that the difference in interior car temperature in dark vs. light colored cars is minimal in today's vechicles. It was more of an issue in older cars that did not have insulation between the headliner and roof and did not have window tinting of any kind.

My wife drives a black car and we live in the deep south and I can't tell the difference between her car and a white car in terms of interior heat buildup. Yes, the interior of the black car is hot, but so is the interior all of the other colored cars. There are a lot of black and dark colored cars in Louisiana so I don't think that color has much effect on inside temps.

The use of a foil sunscreen in the windshield when parked would probably make more of a difference on interior temps than color of the vechicle.

I bought my fist black car (Evo) and I will never do it again, I have to treat it like a red-headed stepchild. The color is very demanding, needing careful polishing.

I have a Black truck right now in South Florida. Other than the temp. getting hot, the scratches that show from driving the highways are a pain in the a$$. You never knew you could get so many little nicks and scratches from sand and bugs or whatever...
If you don't wax it right you will see swirls in the paint also.
