Heya guys. I wanted to get an idea of what people around here would want in a lowering kit.

Please choose the drop amount that you would most likely be interested in purchasing. The drop amount are not exact, they could change, like a Dodge Ram can only do a 3/5 before the rear axle hits the frame. Don't know what the exact drops will be on the Titan, yet.

speed - the most you can do without some major fab is a 2-3 mcgaughy kit. anything more and it will hit the bumpstops front and back.

for those that are interested in lowering your T check out these threads:

I was impressed considering I figured I would be meeting you much farther south than I did. Especially considering traffic!

trojan - the thread clearly asks about lowering kits and what people interested in lowered kits would prefer in regards to size. for you to come and crap on his thread by voicing your personal preference was pretty shltty of you.

Trojan hasn't posted here since Jan. '06, and made those posts back in 2004.
For the most part his statements were true, as far as, not many TT members wanting to lower their Titans back then, and not lowering was one of the options of this poll.

... As for the arguement of lift versus lower: 2wd=lowered, 4wd=lifted. Simple.
Depends on the use. There are lots of Titan owners running 2wds in the desert, while not real big lifts ... they're setup for maximum wheel travel, and are better suited for this than a 4x4, [fairly soon though, PRG will have a mid travel suspension setup for 4x4s].
ah crapper... i dont even think the mg2/3 drop was available then. why do people dig up ancient threads??
ha i let Gary from NCD drive my truck and he almost sh** himself lol. First thing he said to his guys when he got out was, "ok lower my truck" lol. I bet it was a huge difference after driing around on 37's . Now im gunna help him get more power outta that monster

Okay, they are the exception to my stated rule. I understand that some people use them for prerunning. I like prerunners, but due to my location I can't go prerunning. Plus, I'm into low vehicles.
yup not much offroading in miami. The only offroading is if you have one of those swamp buggies with 40" tires. miami is all about boats and airboats.

titan will drop 7 in the back before hitting the frame after that you will need a to c-notch it

way to dig up some old posts ;)
Are there any pics of a less extreme drop? I can't find any. I think a 4" front drop, 6" rear and 24" rims would make possibly the sweetest Titan ever!!
I would like to see that as well.
A little bit of insight for you -

I live in Southern California. I got my Titan KC 2WD because I am constantly finding myself needing hauling capacity for things. Goto the store and actually buy 8' 2x4s now instead of having to get them cut to 4' lenght to shove into a VW Jetta.

I also have friends that own motorcycles, quads and off-road bikes. We all pile up and roll out for a day of fun with those toys. So, the towing capacity of the Titan is awsome for helping transit the toys and having the full bed lenght allows me to haul in the bed rather than loading a trailer, or seems they love to do both and watch me blast past the friends F150 SuperCrew. :jester:

I am 23 and dont want to afford the costs and isurence of a 4x4. Also, I am not really into the total off-road type experience. I like to race cars though, autocross and tracke use. So, the Titan works perfectly because I will be getting a car trailler and towing the soon to arrive 350Z to track events and autox's. Allows me to take tools/tires/stuff and to break/blow up and not worry about how to get home. :gunz:

With the truck being my daily driver and living in urban SoCal, handeling and street driving are primary. With this in mind a 4/6 drop on strong 22" wheels with load rated 305/45/22 tires will be perfect. Improves handeling for daily use and dosent sacrifice any of the load capabilities of the truck.

Also, will make those 110 Mph blasts out to Vegas with four people more toleable since I cant fit 4 people and luggage in a 350Z. :haveredfl

You'll have to find rims that can fit that drop. I have not seen any rims (22") that will fit the drop without modding anything else.
