I think it says somewhere that the tailgate is rated for 200 lbs.

There are a few people with engines > 200,000 miles. The engines seem to last a long time unless they back suck grit from a failed cat.

Obviously people put more than 200 lbs, but I think the owner's manual says 200 lbs. But you might want to re-evaluate the tiny tailgate cable bolts and clips and their attachment points if you think it is built to stand heavy loads.
