Okay, here is my dilema, I have a 2007 Titan CC 4 x 4 SE with 70,000 miles on it. I am a salesman so travel about 38-40K miles per year, but tow a trailer quite a bit so my, boss got me the titan. I have enjoyed having it but he said I could look at the F-150 and I think I could put the Silverado as a possible as well.

What would make you guys go get a 09 Titan over the others? The engine is probably the biggest concern for me because I love the Titan power, but the other trucks are newly designed with some nice features.

Please help me decide?

I would be looking at Crew Cabs, 4 x 4, XLT (Ford) and LT (Chevy) trims, tow packages, mostly in the mid to high $30,000 price range.

The '09 Titan is the end of a model run, so it is "perfected" so to speak. Besides, no other 1/2 ton matches the power, and style of the Titan. Even though it is a five year old design, it is still cutting edge. If I had my choice between the 3 trucks mentioned, I'd get the Titan. Unless the Silverado as a 3500HD DRW Duramax. Then I'd pick the Chevy, LOL.

I personally would go silverado...loaded though. Or if at all possible, 09 Ram. I checked out the Rams and that's what i'm getting this year hopefully. They are awesome and in my opinion, better than the 09 Titan by far..

Well I will tell you what, I bought my 09 titan last year and I looked very hard at trucks. I took 2 weeks off from work just to make my desion of course this is after a month or two of internet research on the new trucks. The new Ford is DAMN nice on the inside but I just could not get past the power issue it is weak and so is the chevy or gmc. The Toyota is all power but is but *** ugly on the inside and huge as well the titan was perfect with design and power. Also with the toyota I saw one loaded down with a lift on the tailgate and the bed was moving all over the place while driving down the road not good it was hitting the cab it was so bad. The Ford is still the best with interior and style but the power is bad real bad. Go drive the ford and chevy and dodge then drive the titan you will see... I ended up with a black pro 4x CC no leather cloths seats. I love it....

I don't think he is a troll, these are very legitimate questions in my estimation.

I think the other posters have hit the nail on the head: go drive all 3 and see what you like. It's too bad you cannot add Toyota and Dodge to your shopping list.

I like to say that all the trucks are good. Every maker has a week spot. Heck, there are a lot of old trucks from all the manufactures still on the road performing there duty. That Nissan VK engine is what I cannot live without. I have not driven the Toyota or the new Dodge, but I think I would buy one of the jap trucks because that is my bias. I don't shop for looks.

man you hit the nail on the head there. Only I never got to drive the dodge. Wasnt out yet. Still dont regret my decision never will. I would have probably gone with the cheby if not for the titan. I love every mile I put on my titan.

My neighbour has an all black loaded '09 F150 cc. yeah it looks alright, and the rear flat floor when the seats fold up is very nice, but it is gutless for sure. they just cant get enough out of that triton engine. I would say it is the best for gas mileage with the 6speed auto though.

When I was testing trucks I found the Chevy to be heavy and slow. It got great mileage but had no balls when I goosed it to get on the interstate. The Ford would have been my second choice due to its interior comfort and consistant power. Never drove the Dodge but the new ones have some nice features.

Good luck with your search.

Actually, the 2010 Titan is about to launch, but it is about as perfected as it will get. While the other trucks are newer and have nice features, you might hate yourself getting one of the others if you really like your '07 Titan. If you don't like your current Titan, then you might be better off with another truck.

Thanks for all your opinions, I do like my Titan, and love the sport car power when I am in that Windows Down Fast mode!

Can anyone comment on how they like their Bluetooth in the Titan, is it worth the upgrade to get it?

When will the 2010 be released? I am about 3-4 months from hitting enough mileage in my current one to trade.

Too bad Mopar and GM are looking like they are going to go bankrupt very soon. If it were me, I'd wait until Ford gets the new dohc 5.0L 400hp engine and then compare again or get another T. I love mine and I'd never swap it for another truck except a F150 (if it had more power) or a Sierra with the 6.2L (if Gm doesn't tank). I like the new styling of the new Ram but I still doubt the hp claims of the Hemi considering I've beaten every Hemi Ram I've come across with my lesser "317hp" VK........lol.

We are at 1.9% financing for Titans up here right now. Only GM is better but i think everyone is a little scared of that situation or Dodge's.

Bluetooth is a very nice feature. Hit the button on the steering wheel and tell it what you want. The sound is clear. Easy to use and set up. Makes driving and talking on the phone much safer. Well worth it.
