Titan vs Pathfinder

So yesterday evening I was at a stoplight, one of the ones where one lane ends. One of the new Pathfinders pulls up next to me. I didn't think twice about him just waiting for me to merge behind me (his lane ended). It goes from 3 lanes down to 2. There was an F150 next to me that was nudging towards the line as we waited for the light. Light goes green, and both the Frd and the Pathfinder lunge. I barely let into the throttle to get her rolling, when I realized that it was on. Layed her to the floor. Both the pathfinder and the F150 had their windshields to my hood by the time I got on it. We were dead even by the time I hit second, and as I hit 3500 RPM in second, I was pulling on them. Shifted into third and the ford was nowhere to be seen, but the PF was still at about my back door. Once I got to around 3500 RPM again I could tell the PF was shifting and I totally pulled away from him. At the next light he rolled down the window to ask what mods I had done. He thought I was BSing when I told him all that I had was the 2 degree timing advance, and a leveling kit. Asked him if he'd like to be spanked again when light went green, and he declined. I told him that his PF needs to respect the big brother Titan. The F150 turned before he could be talked to... He had just been spanked by not one, but two Nissans!!!

I had some jacka$$ in a dodge 1 ton cummins on my a$$ going down the interstate, cruising between 80 and 85. We both took the same exit and came up to a stop light which was red. We hit it and where grill to grill until about 40 mph and the titan took off. My lane ended so I had enough room between him and I to merge over, he was wanting to put me into the ditch,, dichead.. Anyway once the titan gets revved up it is one fast truck!! It was hilarious, I had to turn at the next intersection, I waved as he went by but for some reason he flipped me off...

The Dodge must have been chipped up if you guys went "grill to grill" for a while. Not much glory in beating a vehicle that outweighs your truck by 2000 pounds though.
It was blowing a lot of smoke so it might of had some mods. I wasn't looking for glory, the guy was just being an a$$hole.

Typical of some of the stuck up Big Three owners...can't handle the fact an Import truck can spank em on the first try. Hemi4me.....this doesn't include you.

good race stoobie, my sister has a 2006 pathfinder and her husband thinks he can beat me in it, but my sister doesnt let him drive it poor loser. He drive a 03 suburban maybe he feels the pathfinder is fater than his V8 sub.

Yesterday morning after droping my wife to work around 10am I was cruising @ 60mph on this long stretch off highway i see a 2006 CC2500 hemi and I now it was hemi since he had it in big bold silver letters on his black truck, well when he merges on to the highway he is right next to me I looked over and it was on we both started the same by when I hit 85 I was half of a truck ahead I let go and the guy let go too and gave me thumps up we both cruise next to each other for at least 2mi before I exit...I guess he didnt wanted to get beat again...

I bet he wasn't chipped. Have you ever saw a modded (chipped) Cummins run...they will haul the mail.Even with the awesome engine the Titan has, it wouldn't stand a chance against a SLIGHTLY modded diesel.

Honestly, I thought the same thing about diesels untill one day I saw a friend of mine get his butt handed to him by a Chevy Duramax.

I'm a believer seeing those Diesels.....but when stock, they are very limited. All those Diesels in those videos are HIGHLY MODDED. A slight mod includes exhaust and intakes but once it turns into computers with a Desiel...thats a major mod. But what do I know...I own a gas operated TITAN.

Those hot rod Dodges are fast to be sure, but you can bet they have more than just an over the counter chip. A Titan more than "stands a chance" against a slightly modded Dodge. Using a Banks tuner which will add a 110 hp and 270 lb-ft will get the 3500 to 0-60 in about 7.3 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 15.7 seconds according to the Banks website, which puts it neck and neck with the Titan. Stock, the 3500 Cummins does 0-60 in about 9 seconds and the 1/4 mile in over 17 seconds. My dad has a stock 05 3500 Cummins and I have whopped my brother in it easily, even with my 305/70s. It'll take more than a simple exhaust mod to even the score.

Also, you can't lump all the Big 3s diesels together performance wise. The DuraMaxes and Powestrokes are quite a bit faster than the Cummins. Go to a Dodge message forum and even those guys will tell you as much. I'd rather have a Cummins as a work truck though because nothing beats it for low end grunt and reliability.
