I made a video this last week replacing both the upper and lower fuel filters on my 2016 XD Cummins. I’ll link here for anyone that is interested.
Nissan Titan XD Cummins Fuel Filter Replacement

My question is, why is the interval so frequent on this Cummins engine? I come from being a long time Dodge owner where similar fuel systems only require replacement every 20k or so. The 10k replacement on the Titan seems too frequent? Especially since the cost to replace both filters can be high if a shop does it. Is anyone here seen any issues with waiting a little longer than 10k miles? Thanks!

Interesting video, as I'd heard the Cummins V8 took a lot of maintenance compared with the VK56DE. Do you mind me asking what those two fuel filters cost?

As long as the engine remains under the Nissan powertrain warranty, I'd stick with the 10K interval to remain in compliance. After all, Cummins developed that schedule for the TT V8 and it's quite different than the I6 turbos.

Thank you for the quick response! I agree I should probably stick to the 10k. Just seemed a bit weird to me. The filters on their own were about $90 together from my local dealership. I would assume if you had the deal let replace them it would be an hour of labor (an extra $120+\-)

based on the oil changes, fuel filters and other regular maintenance, these seem to be fairly expensive to maintain.
