Thats basically what Im trying, ill keep ya posted.
I'm hoping your experimentation produces great results... because I will be customizing my 06 4X4 afterwards... My header back system is already Frankenstein'd enough, so i need to get proven data before spending the money to get custom bent pipes for my new exhaust set up... ;)

 you guys are bad... give the the guy a break... it's a Frankenstein exhaust setup... I'll get a picture of mine... but mine looks decent, IMO... dual 2.5" pipes to a custom Y into my 3" muffler inlet... I may just go true duals, depending on deerslayer's testing... ;)

Yea and then I'll hand you yours:) My truck would spank your *** now!! Don't be jealous that I can launch in 4wd just like the GTR, WRX, ECT:)

Oh by the way Ofive, I trapped 94.72mph once:) B4 headers of course. I think 4wd slows me down .1 and about a 1/2 mph in the 1/4, but w/out it I'd be running 14.5's....LOL
Impressive... After I read your mods, I realized you don't have an E-locker otherwise I'd say get the E-lock Mod and just run locked 2Hi... I think you really need to get the TT now, get rid of that 1 wheel peel and your launches will be OFF D HOOK!!! ;)

Hurry up and test the true dual setup... :redblob"

I think your AF's should be fine, maybe a bit more lean due to increased flow, but shouldn't be harmfully lean... I imagine for testing purposes, it should be fine and demonstrate the loss or gain... If anything, -.1 with current tune could mean better once you get a retune... just hate to see a +.1, then we know too much flow is bad... ;) look forward to your runs and results!

Thanks DS! I think this just confirmed that I will be doing a true 2.5" to 3" dual exhaust system later this summer... JBA shorties w/ extended HF Cat B pipes, to true dual 2.5" pipes w/ some single chamber or race mufflers, undecided yet... ;) exits to the rear... make it look old school yet thunderous!!!

I had true duals put on my 2010 Titan with no x pipe or y pipe and it runs great. It comes straight off the headers to the cats and then the mufflers.
So you are running true duals? Each side to a separate muffler and exit, not a 2 in / 2 out muffler, otherwise that's just a huge X way down line... 'cause that's basically what I am currently running by having my dual pipes merge at the 3" muffler inlet then exit through the two outlets... Huge X down line, still restricts true free flow, but deamn it sounds good... ;)

Sweet DS! That's great news definitely going to change what i do when I get these shortys put on :)
Are you going to run OEM Cats, HF Cats, or No Cats with those headers? I'm about to order a set of MF HF Cats in the next month, for replacing primary cats, then run straight B Pipes for performance and hollow B Pipes for Smog Inspection... ;)

U see my test results? U will like them:)
Yeah! That's what I was hoping to see, .1 improvement, and with a retune I imagine you may be able to pull a .2, or perhaps even a .3??? ;) now looking forward to your vids...

 6.4 in the 60' is amazing on that...

C'mon Woot, we won't make fun of your F'n'F stickers, whale tail, or flame thrower exhaust tips... at least not too much anyways...

Man, I need to unsubscribe from this thread now... the more DS updates, the more i want to say, F It and do my exhaust renovation project... but, I just spent huge $$$ today on preventive maintenance, complete RP fluid exchange (both diffs, tranny, and engine) and minor DIY mods... as well as ordered axle seal repair kit for both sides, and will be ordering new brake pads for both front and rear... I even had to dip into my exhaust renovation funds I had been saving... :( I guess I need to work a couple of 6 day weeks to boost my mod funds to stay on my set timeframe of future modding I had planned for...

... just a thought, but I know my heavy lifted 4X4 is quite a bit faster ever since I installed my glass fenders and bedsides... so if you fellas could find someone to make reasonably priced glass or ABS plastic stock style fenders and bedsides, along with a glass hood, those modded track Titans would surely knock off major time... ;)

Yea I'm going to use 12" turndowns and then the reso's on them. Angled out just a tad.
That looks awesome DS! Only concern was the driver's side and was gonna say... Turn those down and out, and maybe adding a "heat shield" to the front of your fuel tank too... just in case... ;)

So with a CAI and LT headers, a true-dual setup would potentially increase performance on my 06 4x4, as long as I keep the actual pipes the same length (accounting for different routing patterns) to avoid creating an uneven pulse cycle and keep the velocity up?

If a matched pulse cycle (and in turn a high exhaust velocity) helps keep the low end TQ, then I'm all in. In theory, electronic cutouts in the exact right place in both B pipes would have this effect, correct?
In theory, YES... realistically, not sure... Only way to find out is through experimentation, so try it and let us know your results... ;)
