I'm hoping your experimentation produces great results... because I will be customizing my 06 4X4 afterwards... My header back system is already Frankenstein'd enough, so i need to get proven data before spending the money to get custom bent pipes for my new exhaust set up...Thats basically what Im trying, ill keep ya posted.
Impressive... After I read your mods, I realized you don't have an E-locker otherwise I'd say get the E-lock Mod and just run locked 2Hi... I think you really need to get the TT now, get rid of that 1 wheel peel and your launches will be OFF D HOOK!!!Yea and then I'll hand you yoursMy truck would spank your *** now!! Don't be jealous that I can launch in 4wd just like the GTR, WRX, ECT
Oh by the way Ofive, I trapped 94.72mph onceB4 headers of course. I think 4wd slows me down .1 and about a 1/2 mph in the 1/4, but w/out it I'd be running 14.5's....LOL
... and I came back thinking deerslayer had done his true dual exhaust swap and test runs as well...I can't believe I read all 7 pages of this worthless thread, way to stay on topic guys![]()
So you are running true duals? Each side to a separate muffler and exit, not a 2 in / 2 out muffler, otherwise that's just a huge X way down line... 'cause that's basically what I am currently running by having my dual pipes merge at the 3" muffler inlet then exit through the two outlets... Huge X down line, still restricts true free flow, but deamn it sounds good...I had true duals put on my 2010 Titan with no x pipe or y pipe and it runs great. It comes straight off the headers to the cats and then the mufflers.
Are you going to run OEM Cats, HF Cats, or No Cats with those headers? I'm about to order a set of MF HF Cats in the next month, for replacing primary cats, then run straight B Pipes for performance and hollow B Pipes for Smog Inspection...Sweet DS! That's great news definitely going to change what i do when I get these shortys put on![]()
Yeah, your T will be screaming afterwards...Straight pipes into the 2 berk b pipes into 22" maggy 3" out
Pictures would be great! No merging together true dual each pipe is separate and exits on each side of my truck. I can take pics if you want. I think it sounds great.
Yeah! That's what I was hoping to see, .1 improvement, and with a retune I imagine you may be able to pull a .2, or perhaps even a .3???U see my test results? U will like them![]()
 6.4 in the 60' is amazing on that...
That looks awesome DS! Only concern was the driver's side and was gonna say... Turn those down and out, and maybe adding a "heat shield" to the front of your fuel tank too... just in case...Yea I'm going to use 12" turndowns and then the reso's on them. Angled out just a tad.
In theory, YES... realistically, not sure... Only way to find out is through experimentation, so try it and let us know your results...So with a CAI and LT headers, a true-dual setup would potentially increase performance on my 06 4x4, as long as I keep the actual pipes the same length (accounting for different routing patterns) to avoid creating an uneven pulse cycle and keep the velocity up?
If a matched pulse cycle (and in turn a high exhaust velocity) helps keep the low end TQ, then I'm all in. In theory, electronic cutouts in the exact right place in both B pipes would have this effect, correct?
