How the flip did you guys get the truck trim off the bottom of the headlights without breaking the tabs? i broke both tabs on both headlights when i put the new halos in. just wonderin how yall did it.

I used a small hex wrench to push the tabs in. I broke a few also.

Search "headlight removal video" the use a tool to remove the body filler.

If I remember right: you just slide it one way, then it pops off.

yea, the top part of the tab is easy, they bottom one is a PITA.

what? lol i tried sliding but it wouldnt budge. so i removed it by the round tabs. plus i needed those tabs to go into the new lights.

I used a flat head screwdriver and gently wedged it and pulled slowly....all tabs still good.

So are you gonna be able to use them with your halos?

I used a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze the tab. Still managed to break one tab on each side but they hold up still.

I got one side perfect, and destroyed the other side lol...parts went flying on one side. I was trying to slide it, and I put all my strength into it, and when it did slide, it was enough force to send small fragments flying. I forget how I secured it after that

you just have to shake it really fast and it'll come right off.:ftard:
