I will be picking up a new 2017 Pro4x thios weekend and will be in the market for a new tonneau cover. I have a Bakflip hard tri-fold on my current 2010 but it has never been water tight and after only a few years water made it into the panels. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have been looking at the same style by Undercover and have also been looking at the undercover SE (solid single lift top) but am a little weary about their locking mechanism in the winter. Looking for recommendations. It does have UtiliTrac.

I have an Extang Solid Fold and I'm very happy with it. It mounts easily, folds out of the way (mostly), and it doesn't leak. It's also strong enough to walk on.

I have the Extang Trifecta Signature which is similar to the Solidfold mentioned above except that it is made out of material similar to boat canvas. It also has never let water into the bed, even when washing the truck, is convenient to remove and light enough that one person can do it. And it's much less expensive than the solid covers.

I have an A.R.E. hard-top tonneau cover and the locking mechanism has not let me down once, so long as I remember to lock it. Which after my one mishap I have not.

As far as watertight I bought my Titan used with the tonneau cover pre-installed by the previous owner. With that being said, all of the heavy rains we receive in Florida has yet to penetrate the weatherstrips and seals. All of my tools and dry goods have remained that way since day one. I'd recommend it and I'm not one for covers, I'm more of a truck box keep the bed open kinda guy. But I have been digging my tonneau cover.

I have your exact same truck, an went with a diamondback HD cover. And opted for the linex coated one and love it. Took about 1 hour for the inital install. No drilling! Weather tight and very secure. I'll try ad attach some picture in the morning.

You can also load 1600lb on top of this cover as well.

I have the exact same truck (2017 Pro-4x) and I'm going through the same process. The Diamondback one above is good, but it's not a tri-fold design (like your old bakflip) and it sits above the bed rails. While i like the added load capacity, i want one to sit flush. The Undercover seems to be the best one for that purpose from what i've read and I'm planning on getting one of those. The problem is, you have a choice to make: Do you go with the one with clips that engage the Utilitrack, or do you go for the "standard" one that clamps to the bed rails. The first option may seem like the easy and obvious choice, but in doing so, you will not be able to use the Utilitrack for anything else as the flush-mounted cover and clips will prevent you from attaching cleats with the cover installed. The solution is to flip the track 180 degrees and go with the "standard" clamps. That drops your track a few inches down into the bed and lets you continue to use the mounts and such without problem. For the rearmost track sections, you'll note that the screw in the middle is not in line with the screws in the end. Thus, if you're going to mount the track upside down with all screws, you'll need to drill a hole through the track section offset from the other screws. The alternative is to just mount the flipped sections with four bolts instead of five. Probably not much of a problem unless you're putting a ton of load on the tracks.

I'm leaning toward flipping the track as I'd like to continue to use the Utilitrack. Your mileage may vary. From what I've heard, the Undercover is excellent at keeping water out, but only if you seal your tailgate... pretty easy to do with some gasket material.

I was looking at the Bakflip MX4 or the Solid Fold 2.0 but a friend of mine had both on a new F-150 and both leaked into the bed and the Solid Fold didn't even sit flat on the rails. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I was thinking this was because his cap rails are grooved and channel the water. Are the new Titans flat surfaces caps like the 1st generation?

I was also considering a metal backed rolling style cover. Can anyone speak to those? I live in the heart of snow country in N.Y. and am concerned about their operation during the winter months.

I have also been looking at the Undercover SE. Can anyone speak to those?

I have the Pace Edwards Ultragroove Metal installed on my '17 P4X and I really love it. I did not have to touch the Utility-Tracks at all and my bed divider still works perfectly in conjunction with this tonneau cover. I live in Texas so I don't know if the snow can affect its operation. But, I imagine if you keep the tracks of the cover lubricated you should be fine.

Got the Revolver installed.
Flipped the rails, and pretty easy install. I went with this model because I didn't want to lose any bed space (I haul a 14ft kayak around a lot)like the other roll up covers that store in a box below the rail.
Only thing was the rails were a little low when I closed the tailgate and hit. Simple little bend up and it works fine.

Am I reading that correct, you have an Ultragroove Metal installed and did not have to remove or flip the Utilitrack? I only ask because the online options are saying "will not work with factory cargo management system" in the notes section and I'm not sure if that means the Titan Box or the Utilitrack. I'd like to keep my rails intact, if possible. Do you have any photos?
