I'm looking to put chrome caps on a set of tow mirrors. Are the OEM caps any better than the aftermarket caps? Are the OEM tow mirror chrome caps metal or plastic? The aftermarket I assume are plastic?

The aftermarket caps are half the cost, but is it a better bet to go with the OEM's?

The originals are either plastic I believe. I broke a clip on mine taking them off to Plastidip them. I'd expect you'd get a better fit with OEM but not sure.
