Marc, older Titans aren't rated for much over 9,200 lb towing capacity and 920 lb of tongue weight. That's with the tow package. You do NOT want to push your luck with too much tongue weight.

Looking for feedback. Has anyone consistently towed a 12 foot dump trailer? I have an older titan that have been on the up keep with. I love this truck but wondering if a dump truck would be the way to go? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

In my case I was probably lucky I had the PRG shackles which are far stronger than the OEM '07 shackles. Even so, the shackles were bent - but not broken - and had to be replaced.
Looks like that unit has surge brakes on it. So you don't need to worry about a brake controller. Surge brakes take a bit of getting used to if you've never pulled one before and are used to trailers with electric brakes.
