Towing with a gooseneck horse trailer

Does anyone haul a gooseneck horse trailer? I am thinking about buying a 3 horse and need to know how the nissan hauls with one. I have the Nissan Titan 06 LE. Also, if someone does haul with one - is the trailer steel or aluminum?

Yes, it's been done, several guys on the board tow gooseneck trailers.

MJW and myself are two. Aluminum vs. Steel not so significant as is the weight. You could theoretically get a 3500lbs steel gooseneck and a 7000 aluminum gooseneck. Steel goosenecks tend to be older and very pin heavy. That's bad. But if you find an older steel 2 horse gooseneck, that's probably not too heavy.

Plan on airbags.

Do you know what the total amount is that the 2006 LE can tow?

Its 4wd and it came with a tow package but I'm not sure if it is a Big tow. How do you tell if it is a big tow or not?

Do your mirrors extend out? If they do, than you're equipt with the big tow

Your owners manual will have a chart in it describing what each combination can take. I don't know enough about each years BT package to know the difference... Do you have big mirrors?
