I thought that the recommendation was no towing the first 500 miles, then not to exceed 50 MPH while towing for the first 500 miles. That second one is a tough one.

Drive in circles until you hit 500 miles. That's what I basically did, the Titan is so much fun to drive anyway...I still do it and I'm up over 6k now. :cheers:gksmith said:Whew - I don't know where I got the 5000 miles from. Still, not going over 50 for the first 500 miles when towing is going to suck. It will add an hour more more to our first trip's travel time.
I have 1100 miles now. I don't expect to have 3K :crying: by the time camping season starts.Underagedtitan said:How many miles are on the truck?
1100 miles should be enough, seeing as you only need 500 right?gksmith said:I have 1100 miles now. I don't expect to have 3K :crying: by the time camping season starts.
Here's a stupid question . When towing a 6000 lb trailer is the tow mode button pushed in or out.gksmith said:I'm in real danger of not having more than 5K miles before I have to make my first tow. The trailer is 4K or so and while the first tow should only be 5 miles or so, I expect to go a couple of hundred shortly after.
How big of a deal will it be if I don't follow Nissan's recommended procedure of breaking in the truck before I tow? This summer I'll be doing 4K miles with this trailer + gear.
