As far as the hitch. I was the one with the hitch failure. I am towing a 8000lb trailer dry weight so you should be fine. If you dont feel comfortable with the new style hitch then go to a junk yard & buy a hitch & bumper from an 09 or older. On the 2010 & newer the bumper is mounted to the hitch so you will need the bumper brackets off the older truck.

nascarjody - I see you upgraded to a full ton, was the Titan not sufficient to tow your trailer?

It pulled it just fine but I was only getting 150 miles to a tank & it kicked down on the slightest up grade like an over pass.

Are they bolted up the same way? If so they probably changed suppliers and any hitch you get will be the newer cheaper ones. That sucks!

The hitches bolt up the same way but on 2010 & newer the bumper is attached to the hitch instead of the frame. So if you go with an older hitch then you will need the bumper brackets also.
