Hey guys. I have a 2008 XE CC non BT. I installed a hitch and harness on it. Presently only towed a utility trailer with motorcycles and small uHual trailers.

Anyways I'm looking at getting a camper that's around 6k in weight. Obviously will have to get a brake controller.

Will lowering shackles cause me difficulty in towing something this heavy? Will it be squatting too far down in the rear? I have about a 1.5" drop.

I really don't have a clue about towing anything but am trying to read up.

Your frame will meet the bump stops and you will not like that.
I added air bags and filled them before hauling heavy.

Thanks. I'll look into the bag setup. At the very least I can restore it to stock height fairly simply.
