Hi guys. I just recently bought a 2008 kingcab longbox 4x4 titan. I did a little research(apparently not enough) b4 purchasing and saw that it could haul 9400lbs gvwr in the website I read. Know that I have the truck I see on the door it says 7400 gvwr. I can't read the sticker on the axil for gear ratio so I don't know if it has the bt pkg or not. It does have the tranny tempguage under the speedo, but no bigger mirrors. Sticker on door says cc33 under ratio, so I'm assuming no on the bt pkg. I'm looking at buying a toy hauler with a dry weight of 5262lbs and want to put 2 4wheelers in it, gear and water I'm guessing for a total of around 6500 to 7000lbs. Is this trk capable of this or is it to much for it? With a 7400 gvwr by the time u take the truck weight and a few passangers full of fuel from that I'm looking at a trailer weight ofonly around 3000lbs if I'm understanding this right? Doesn't seam like these tow much if I'm understanding this correctly. Thanks for any input

Thanks for the reply. I'm still wondering how heavy a trailer I can purchase and tow with this truck(everything included, 4wheelers,water gear ect..) Withouttearing something up. I didn't mention it in my 1st post, but besides the trans temp guage I mentioned, there is also a tranny cooler on hear with an electric fan mounted on it. Do they all have the fan and cooler? That gvwr bothers me. Truck has to be around 4000 or more leaving less than 4 grand for tow vehicle and passangers if I'm understanding it correctly. Thanks

thanks agian for the responses. im not new to hauling. i do it for a living with both the semi's and the dodge duallies with carhaulers and have over 3 million miles under the belt. my enclosed trailers for the car haulers were built for me in indiana with living quarters. there were all around 11,000lbs dry weight,53ft. long, then i would add water, supplies and 2 customer cars at 10-12000 combined weight putting the trailer at 22,000lbs and the dodge at 8,0000lbs. i was plated for 32,000 and exceeded that many times(royces are heavy!lol) and it pulled it fine. dodges were airbagged, and all had dtt(if you have a dodge diesel,i saw 1 guy on here who did and dont remember who it was,and have any questions on them, feel free to ask, i bought 25 of these every 3 years and have some important secrets for you on the trucks right from the designer himself as he was in total amazement at my setups at the sema and barret jackson shows)transmission kits or complete replacements at 3-8grand a piece. you can pretty much setup anything to haul what you want. i guess really what im getting at is on the dodge duallies it flat out tells you what they can haul with the gvwr(example-regcab 4x4 6speed manual i believe was 22,000 with the 2006's i had, and i knew the trucks were all roughly 8,000lbs that i had leaving me room for 14,000lbs trailers with the stock setup from the factory.
i havent weighed the titan yet, but 1 of the responders to my question stated around 5500lbs, and the gvwr says 7400 on my door, which leads me to believe it is only safe and legal to pull a 1,900lb trailer and gear included. the manufacturers "pad" all there towing rates to savethemselves on mech failures and the novice hauler, but even with that said, i dont know why they have to make things so difficult. if this truck can pull a 6,000lb trailer safely, then put it on the sticker as it can haul 6,000 with the specific truck you have purchased as long as tongue weight falls into the peramiters. my factory reciever hitch on the truck says 900lbs i believe, and that is alot of trailer to hit that, definantly not a 1400lb trailer, thats for sure. thats why i asked on here what guys are pulling. id like to try about 7,000lbs max on the trailer with all gear and wheelers, and that puts truck and trailer at around 12,500lbs combined. maybe to steep for a titan, not sure. wish i still had the duallies, wouldnt be having these problems or questions! lol thanks guys agian for the replies. oh and for the guy who asked, this is a le model,no electric anything, even crankup windows
