Got my winter tires and wheels in.

1. What happens if I don't buy TPMS sensors for the 2nd set of wheels/tires? Do I just get an idiot light that is always on like my Frontier had? Or are there annoying screens flashing constantly on the gauge clusters LCD Screen with warnings gong off the whole time you drive?

2. If I get a 2nd set of TPMS sensors, does the truck store all 8 of them? Or do they need to be swapped in the trucks computer every time I change the set of tires over?

In my 2006 LE with the NAV, I only get a light on the dash that stays on if the sensors are not activated. Later years of the trucks may be different.

The sensors will all need to be calibrated when installed. The tire store can usually do this as most cars these days have them. When you switch to your summer tires, you will most likely need to get those recalibrated. I know Jack Williams does this for free if you have them install the tires in the first place. Other tire stores may have similar policies.

I just put on a Wheel and Toyo Tire package with 700 miles on I got off a Yoda and the wheels has sensors in them. I did not take to dealer to have calibrated yet. I have no light on and when I switch to the TPMS screen it shows **. I can live with that but no Idiot light comes on.

It may see that there are sensors installed, but they are not calibrated so they won't show you the data... This may change, too. Run on them a while and the light may come on after a bit of time.

I would LMAO if your TPMS light is just burned out.

I have been running them for a couple months now with no light. The light used to come on often before because I had one tire that kept losing air slowly and at 28lbs the light would come on so I know the light worked.
