TRACK/VOLUME Steering Controls NOT working.

2012 texas titan 4X4 aftermarket head unit. I've cheched all connections and wiring from steering wheel to back of head unit and in between. My right side steering wheel controls (cruise control) work perfectly fine. the bluetooth and volume/track switch are not working. Last year they started to go out and figured it was a connection. they would go hay-wire and volume would change bluetooth to radio or DVD and so on. then it would only work while wheel was turned to 45 degrees. now they dont work at all. now i miss the availability of those controls and looking to fix it. any ideas of what the problem may be? I've done some research and it seems it may be the "CLOCK SPRING", directly behind the actual steering wheel and behind the "shell casing" on the steering column. Any help would be appreciated. thanks guys.

Tex, any luck? I have a similar problem with my 2006. Installed an aftermarket deck with steering wheel volume control. Worked fine for a period of time. Then started to have issues when making a turn. Then cruise control started having issues and working irregularly then failed all together. Now horn doesn't work. I suspect it is the wiring harness which wraps around the steering column has worn through some of the wiring (waiting for turn indicators to fail...).

Just seeing if anyone has gone through replacing that harness.
