hey fellow members! so procomp sells a 50" lateral traction bar:
Explorer Procomp Traction Bars # 71000B

the rough country traction bar for you regular size beds is 38.5" long according to the RC customer service rep i spoke to on the phone. i'm hoping i can use the 50" bar posted above as i've scoured the boards here and it seems everyone is saying i have to go custom because my bed is longer and so far the procomp 50" bar is what i can find. they also state all i have to do is use vehicle specific mounting brackets with the bar. any advice guys...i've been researching for almost a week on this now!

My traction bars, If i remember correctly, are 48". And i have a short bed, So im not sure if 50" will work for you.

should be better tho since the RC are only 38.5" and with a 50" it's 11.5" longer correct?

Should be, but who knows where its going to land on the frame. Take a tape measure and measure from the center of the axle tube, 50" forward. That will give you a "rough" estimate of where the traction bar mount will get mounted.

I like to put mine right in the center of the little "drop down" piece that we have in our frame, it hangs lower than the rest of the frame.
