Traded in My 04' Titan Today

Well I am out after 4 years. I have very much enjoyed this forum/people and all the help and knowledge I have gained while here. I was just under 60,000 miles and did not want to put anymore money in on maintenance, not that I had any major issues up till now.

I am sure I will miss having a truck a time or two in the near future, but driving the Wife's hand-me-down Passat W8 will make it easier. :) Totally off the subject---I just put some Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2's on the Passat and took it for a spin in about 3" of fresh snow. WOW drives like it's glued to the road.

Hope to be back in the future. Take care and thanks to the forum and everyone envolved it was a BLAST! :explode:

On Edmunds the Titan came out at $13,000 and I got $14,500

Traded it in on a CPO 04' BMW X3 3.0 with 30,000 miles for the Wife to drive. They had the X3 listed for $31,995 and I got it for $24,700. So I still have a year and 20,000 miles left on the factory warranty that covers all maintenance. Plus CPO adds an additional 2 year and 50,000 mile warranty. They were also offering 2.9% financing and they knocked it down to 1.9%.

So over all I am happy with the deal. But it was bitter sweet since I absolutely loved owning the Titan. It has been a great truck.
Looks like a lot of people gave the Titan, a great truck, a chance and are still enjoying them after 4 yrs. on the road....

Great job Nissan....I still love to drive this truck !!!!!!!

I agree 100%

I have had a Chevy 3/4ton extended cab, a Ford 3/4ton extended cab, and a Chevy 3/4ton Suburban for company vehicles over the years. None of them even came close to the comfort and reliability of the Titan. The Suburban was ok with comfort but reliability was sketchy.

I hope Nissan takes the next step with the Titan, it's a winner as far as I am concerned. The only other choice out there IMO is the Tundra. The Titan is lagging a little but it's an older design. If they can pull off the diesel and get rid of the high RPM flat spot in the gas V8 they will be right back in it.

I AGREE with you on all of your comments. While I really dislike the front end look of the Tundra, if Nissan axes the Titan, then I'm left with only one other truck choice IMHO... the Fundra.
