I installed my Class IV hitch, and wiring connector on my SE KC 4x4, obviously I don't have the Tow Package. I have working brake lights and turn signals on the boat, but no running lights. A previous thread mentioned relays behind the battery were needed, parts number 25230-79945 and 25230-79964. Do I need both of these? One is $ 17 and one is $ 30. Not a big deal on price, but I would like to know which slots they go in, and if both are needed before I order them from the dealer, or the internet. A photo of the relay box would be a real help. Thanks to all in advance who can help me.

Hitch Question

I received my Nissan hitch from Jamie today, and it installed easily.
However, I think the U.P.S. guy strained a nut unloading it, and my
neighbors all disappear when you need a hand. I put the hitch on a
piece of plywood on top of my floorjack, and that really helped getting
it into position.

KD, the two relays came with my hitch, and all you have to do is take
the lid off the smaller of the two fuse boxes behind the battery. The
smaller one is closest to the battery. You will see a brown relay for
backup lights in the upper left corner, with a place to plug in a relay
right beside it and another right below it (towards grill). This is where the
2 new relays go, but I don't know what each does. It is impossible to
install them incorrectly, as the plugs on each are different. I have an
SE 4x4 KC no big tow also, so your truck's fuse box should look like
mine.

Hope this picture helps, Steve.
