Last week I noticed oil spots on the driveway under front of truck. Went out and looked underneath, reddish oil dripping along the back edge of the skidplate.
Take it to dealer, tell them that got fluid leak, I think transmission fluid. They get it in the service bay, take a quick look (didn't put it up on lift? not sure why not) and estimated around $400 to replace two lines. Not covered by extended warranty, that sucks but OK fix it.
Get it back following day, truck hasn't been washed (they always wash them). Take a look the next day, still got fresh oil. Get under there with a flashlight and really start looking, I can't see where a single bolt has been removed, or any signs of new looking parts. The little bolt that holds the tranny dipstick in place does not look like it was removed either. I'm no master mechanic, but I would think that after servicing a vehicle with a fluid leak, that the fluid in question would be checked and topped off? Now this morning its making a groaning noise around corners, I am thinking power steering pump now? Did they fix the wrong thing? Did they fix anything?
So anyway I am ticked wife is pissed too because we both gotta run up there after work so she can take me home and then we change our schedules so we can share the car. Hopefully they will find a way to get me a loaner.
Here's what I want. :boxing: I want the friggin' leak fixed. I want that noise gone. I want all my fluids topped off. I want the truck exterior washed, an engine bay cleaning would be nice too.
OK I feel better. Will get an update when it happens.
