Hello,

After replacing the battery on my 04 Titan with 27K miles I found that the transmission wouldn't shift into drive. I thought it must be some kind of electronic problem so I had it towed to the dealer. After a few days they decided the tranny would need to be replaced. It's still under warranty so that's one plus.

Anyone have similar issues with the transmisson? I tow a boat of around 3,000lbs so I haven't really worked it much at all.

Since it's an 04 you could have been leaking tranny fluid near the radiator. Ther are hoses that connect on passenger side that are know to leak and there is a TSB on it. I replaced the facory hoses with Gates and stainless screw downs. To bad but pay attention to wet looking areas on the frame and skid plate on passenger side.
