Ordered my kit and will install it next weekend. Any of you guys have a tool list needed? Like socket sizes etc? Already have 14qts of Oreilly global fluid. I recall one of you guys leaving a spring out........it says to do so in the instructions. Any reason some of you did/didn't?

1/8 mile is better than nothing for sure. You can convert your 1/8 mile time to 1/4 and see where you stack up with the rest of us.

I foot brake it to 1500-2000 and roll into the throttle fast when the last yellow hits. Most of the time, they run a pro tree that is .400 and I hate it.

It's here....woot! Can't wait for Friday to come..... Then it's off to the track and see how it does.

You installing it Friday? Cant wait to see the gains. Whats the DA looking like for Saturday?

Your guess is as good as mine?? lol

Dependig on your tire size, 3.73 will top out @ 103 mph with OE tires and 6000 rpm in 3rd gear. 3.36 is 114.......almost perfect gears imo.

After reading different gear changing threads such as "going from 3.27 to 3.73"(ford guys) plus other numerous threads and forums.

I figured that going from the stock 2.94/3.36 to a 3.73 would net atleast a gain of .3-.5 tenths gain in 0-60. Hopefully with WOT limiter disabled as well.

I miss having my superchips, I need uprev bad, I hate this WOT limiter.

I was going to get some 0-60 vids when I got my 07 rear end installed with tru trac and 3.36 gears in my titan while I had the superchips cortex. BUT i sold the cortex... saddening.. :(

I was thinking I would be atleast a 5.7-6.0 0-60.

Non of the 3.36 vs 2.94 geared Titans here showed any sort of gain by having the 3.36. Now, their might have been a gain with the 3.36, as I do not know all the weights of all the 3.36 and 2.94 Titans that have ran out here, but if their is a gain, I'm willing to bet its .1 or less......IMO that is

I have the 3.36 and I run pretty good:) In all seriousness though I dont think my 3.36 are more than .1 in the 1/4 mile either. Buuuuuuut you never know:)

Well, RBs runs the 3.36, and has cams and I think he runs 13.9 NA. Rossi had 3.36 with headers and ran 13.8....We have had some 3.36 at our track, I remember in Summer, an Intake/exhaust/ Uprev tune 3.36 titan running 14.7 with 1 wheel peel and 2.0 60', thats just a few, I just haven't seen any consistently faster 3.36 Titans. As a matter of fact, me toomnymods, bj2007 have 2.94's, not sure about Titanss....If someone proves me wrong, then more power to them, that would be cool to have .1 or .2 gain out of another mod

Just like any gear I'm sure one or the other will help you in the 1/8 mile while the other helps in the 1/4 mile. I'm sure there is one better than the other it's just a matter of figuring it out. 2.94's seem like they'd help more from the 1/8 to 1/4 while the 3.36 would be better in the 1/8 mile and lose just a little in the rest of the 1/4 compared to the 2.94's. If I was making my truck an 1/8 mile truck I'd put 3.73 or 4.11 in there:)

I'd say the 3.36 or 3.73 would be better for you 2.94 guys. IMO

A lot of the fact of what people run is vehicle weight and DA....A lot of guys that run headers, might only go to the track occasionally (or once just to try) and may have a bad DA and or not know their truck weight....I know layer1 only ran 14.9 with headers and Uprev, but he is 5900 LBS and lives in the mountains. The guys with headers to compare yourself too are (was) me, Titanss, Rossi, KHA4079 (although he has cams now), pinoytitan. I say this because these are guys like you who have gone out an searched for a good DA and have been to the track several occasions. I bet when I had headers, and ran 13.7, I bet I really wasn't any faster then another guy who ran 14.2 with headers in a different state then just went once to the track. I wouldn't mind for someone to try the swap and see, but I just don't like to hear get so amped up about doing the swap, when i haven't seen any BT Titan running away from a Non-BT Titan on the same track. I would love to see someone do the swap, just to make sure, but its too involved for me, and I haven't seen anything that makes me want to spend the money for it

Yea I agree. I'd like to see someone do a swap too but the gains are probably .05 either way. I agree about the DA comparison too. I wasn't tooting my own horn I was just thinking out loud about swapping to compare:)
