I see a lot of people use 5/16” hose when replacing the lines which run from the transmission to the radiator.

However, I have read 11/32” is the correct size.

Which one is it? The difference is only 1/32” so perhaps it doesn’t matter?

I used some Gates 5/16 and the hose that came with Long Tru-Cool 4590 which I think has 11/32 hose and barbs. I don't think it matters much on hose connections as long as your clamps will clamp it tightly. I'm a fan of double clamping.

I didn’t have time to replace the lines but the 11/32” slid right on the new CSF radiator nipples so that size seems to work.
