After I drained and refilled my transmission the temp keeps rising to about half and stays there, I added the recommended amount of fluid 5.5 quarts. I just took it for a drive and I was going about 100km/h for approx 30 mins and the gauge remained at half for most of the time.
I shifted thru all the gears like suggested in other post.
I looked at the dip stick and it looked fine.

Any other suggestions

I just changed the fluid yesterday and before that it was normal.

Normal is somewhere between the 3 and 4 o'clock positions. Be sure to check the level while the engine is running. I always aim to have the level at the top of the "hot" range.

Yup, a transmission isnt suppose to run cold 24/7, its actually suppose to get up to an "operating temperature" so that it can operate efficiently. Completely normal.
