My transmission felt like it was slipping so I checked fluid and it was Damn near dry. This was second time in 8 months I've had to refill. Filled the fluid yesterday and noticed this morning when had truck running with heater on truck cab scent was like trans fluid and checked under truck after driving to find leaking. Passenger side was soaked with trans fluid. Looks like a small hose coming from bottom radiator was wet but seemed like it was coming from somewhere else as well possible??. Noticing some posts with similar probs talking about the trans fluid cooler in front on radiator. The hose that looks to have dripping is at bottom of radiator and can't tell if it's hose or the base part that has a nut style connection that is actually leaking if so (hose doesn't look very old or cracking). Should I just try to change that house first and if so any idea what size the house is? Or am i on to something with there being prob with trans fluid cooler and look to change that?? Surely sunshine had this prob too.... (Took couple pics but would have to email them cause can't see how to upload on this post)

Trans issues are popular this week! Many have replaced the jumper hoses as part of regular preventive maintenence because of this problem. I would replace all the trans hoses, especially if you think they are leaking. You can get the specific hoses at auto parts stores, with the correct bends and such. If you dont get those make sure you get hoses designed for trans fluids or they might leak over time.

If this is the second time in 8 months I would bet it isnt leaking into your coolant but since you arent bypassed I would at least double check that your coolant and trans fluid arent mixing.

As far as leaking, the hoses are known to start leaking on the titans at some point. a number of people have reported them blowing off entirely. . If you're in a warm environment Maybe consider bypassing the in radiator cooler and adding an LPD cooler to the front of the truck like most do. . that will avoid a milkshake in your radiotor/trans and help your trans run cooler if you do any towing. . . at the vary least, I would personally replace all the soft lines with Transmission fluid rated rubber hose as Danman stated and double hose clamp each connection. . It will only take you a couple hours and should solve your issue as long as it is indeed the lines that are leaking.

I appreciate the help y'all. I'm in Florida so pretty warm environment and I seen vids on adding that bypass thing. What exactly is it called so I can go to auto store Monday and get right thing. Should I also buy new trans fluid cooler with it too?? Also it would be okay to just replace the rubber parts of the trans fluid lines that with double clamps instead of replacing whole lines with metal parts?? Would rather try that first before buying whole lines.

If you're looking to add the cooler the part number most run is a Long True Cool SR4588.

than take your grill off, mount the new cooler and bypass your in radiator warmer/cooler to route into your new cooler. from there it goes to your factory cooler and than back into the transmission. You dont need to replace your factory cooler so long as yours isn't currently leaking. As far as the hoses go you could hard line them but I feel you're just fine with rubber lines that are specifically rated for transmission fluid. I would replace all of them while I was in there and double clamp each connection. For added security on any spot that might chafe, you can see in my photo that i used the extra hose i had as a buffer to protect it. might be overkill but holding up great.
