So I got an 08 titan. 5.6L 4x4. The other day heard what sounded like a pop and as I drove on I noticed tranny wouldn't auto shift until hit high rpms. Got to my office and parked and noticed ATF leaking out. If I fill the fluid up it drives fine for about 8-10 min until fluid all leaks out. Is tranny shot or can it be fixed?

My guess is you have a busted line. Probably toast, but replace the line, fill it with fresh fluid, and see what happens. And for heaven's sake, stop driving around dumping ATF everywhere. It's bad for your truck, the roads, the environment, and my truck if it gets on my tires or paint.

Thanks for the info. Dumping on ground wasn't my first choice but had to move it.

Theres this great thing called a tow truck. Works terrific and is way less expensive than the transmission you likely burnt up moving the truck while it was puking fluid.

Look at the trans lines at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side. My guess is, one of the rubber sections is toast.
