Funny thing is I have never had any engine or transmission problems with my 2007 Titan SE. I drove home the other day from an appointment and pulled into my driveway as normal and shut it off. When I came out a while later to drive to my remodeling job and started the engine, I had no gears in forward or reverse. The trans fluid is clear red and has no off smell. I topped off the fluid which was a little low and tried to run it a couple of more times later in the day. The shift lever feels disconnected, as there is no physical sign that it is moving thru the gears. Just nothing. I have 135,000 on it and never had a bit of trouble with the tranny. Any Ideas??? The driveshaft has been replaced and I have run with that for several months. It doesn't turn when I put it in gear so that should eliminate a problem with the rear end. Thoughts???

Console or column shift? The plastic junk breaks on the column shift cable by the steering column.

Console, check where the cable hooks to the linkage on the transmission. They have been known to come apart there.

Problem solved. I found a number of videos on you tube explaining that it could be a bushing that popped out where the cable ties into the shifter just as 4mula1fan suggested. $10.99 and 20 minutes work and I'm on the road again. Nissan does not sell the bushing separate from a new cable.
Thanks
