Is there really 4 different types of Trans for the 2wd titan. I want to buy a salvaged trans but all sites ask if it is LSD or not locked and column or floor shift. I called one yard yesterday and they told me that all the transmissions are the same no matter what. Can anybody confirm that.

You need to make sure of the year and make sure they are the same part number. There are a lot of different transmissions in those trucks, most of the changes are to the programming internally.

Will a 2 wheel drive transmission work in a four-wheel drive truck and still make it a four-wheel drive
I'm going to say probably not. But only because the four wheel drive truck has a transfer case and your two wheel drive transmission may not mate to the transfer case properly.

If you have a working transfer case, and you get the correct transmission for your gearing, it should work. The transmission has either a tailshaft housing or the transfer case mounted at the rear flange of the trans, so you'd just need to be sure the transfer case in your truck works properly. And again, I'm saying "should" work. I've never seen one which wouldn't, but the last transfer case I dropped and trans I changed out was on a mid-1990s Ford. And you're still going to need the correct transmission for your rear diff ratio and all the right re-programming (which may have to come from the dealer, but call some reputable transmission shops about it, too).
