Truck is a 2005 2wd 150600 miles, recently been hearing a squeak while driving. Only hear the squeak while accelerating, not coasting, not in neutral, nor reverse. Got underneath the truck spun and shook the drive shaft, no squeak, no play in u joints and they all look in decent shape, no exposed metal and all have their seals. The connection between the transmission and drive shaft was hotter then the rest of drive shaft. Spun all tires and no squeak from them either. Was kinda hoping it was a u joint as that is a pretty straightforward repair.

Any ideas before I have to go pay someone to look at it? Thanks for the help

I know that my drivers side leafspring safety roller thing, not sure the name for it, developed a squeak a while ago took a while to figure out. All I had to do was squirt some fluid film in between the roller and leaf springs its been quiet ever since.
