I have had a Truetrac installed for the past 30K miles. I am going to change out the fluid and was wondering what type of oil is everyone running?

I called True trac and they recommended to stay away from synthetic but I also read on here that our ring gear needs synthetic?

I also have read about finding oils w/o friction modifiers?

And lastly, what about weight? 80w-90 seems to be recommended but it does say right on the diff cover to use 75w-140?

I would use a good quality dino GL-5 80w-90 gear oil.

80w-90 was what they recommended for the early models 04-06 (IIRC) newer ones recommend 75w-140.
