RIP OE E-Locker...Time of death 152K miles. I've sorta been mentally preparing myself for this day. Last night while pulling out of the driveway i heard and felt it rear SNAP, CRACKLE and POP'N. So i pulled it right back in the driveway and pulled the rear cover. In the bottom of the housing i find spider gear bits. Without fully disassembling it the ring and pinion seems OK.

After looking at all the available options it looks like im going with the Eaton/Detroit TrueTrac. Having browsed around here last night i think i have an idea of all the parts needed to complete this job. Anyone that has done this please feel free to comment.

TrueTrac Diff and Bearing with races
Dorman axle kit 630-339
Bearing and seal for driver side (wouldn't be a bad idea while im at it)
Diff Fluid

It looks like i can pick all of that up for right at $1000.

hey man - I'm in the same boat now with my 2004 4x4 LE BT w/Elocker. Mine is at 198k and I'm limping along right now after hearing some popping backing out of my driveway. I drained the fluid and found a bunch of chunks on my drain plug.

How did this go? Was this all the parts you needed?

Yes this is all you need and a free weekend. Like i said though....i went ahead and did bearings and seals on both axles since i was tearing the whole rear end apart anyway.

Im not in your guys situation with broken bits but, I have 04 LE 4x4 big tow with the peg leg edition. Looking for the best option to lock up the rear part time. Im leaning towards dana tru tack looking for more details from experience/reviews of the locker installed. I plan on all new bearings and seals in the rear.. any input would be great

side note... what the hell are you guys running as a front locker

Is there a reason you chose Yukon over the Detroit trutrack (your right).

Also is the ARB the only otion for the front? I was looking for user reviews on rear lockers so let us know what you think with the grizzly.

I went with the grizzly solely for the price at the time on the forum 6 years ago now. I know others in my town running the grizzly in different vehicles with no issues. See how well it holds up in the Titan.
ARB is the only one I've seen but haven't researched it at all. Myself I'd rather have front/back ARB lockers
