Trying to get a smoother ride, maybe?? Bilstein 5100, moog 4x4 coils, and spacer

So currently on my truck i have 4 inch maxtracx spindles with bilstein 5100 on the middle setting, moog 4x4, and a 1 1/2 spacer on top of that.
I was looking to keep the same height but make it ride a bit smoother if possible, i cant really get coilovers at the moment and wont be able to for a while since school started, so i wanted to use what i have with the exception of buying/ trading a different size spacer
What i wanted to do was take the bilsteins down to the lowest setting and remove the 1 1/2 spacer and replace it with either a 2.5 or a 3 inch spacer (i have someone trying to trade my spacer for a 3 inch)
would that make my truck ride a bit softer/smoother? also i posted pictures of where my ucs currently sit with my lift

I pm'd u the other day but we're pretty close with the same setup other than you're on Billy's and I'm on Radflo's. I'm currently sitting 1.5" preload with the Maxtrac 2.5" spacer. Originally had PRG's 1.5" spacer that Greg recommended for me and that put my truck leveled but with 2.5" preload. So I asked a few members my idea and they said it should work theoretically with the 2.5" spacer with less preload. I wanna say i got 4-5" lift with that setup as the truck sits 1" higher than when it was sitting level. I think if you're looking for more of a comfort ride I think with the Bilstein's you might not get that especially if you're planning on putting a bigger spacer. My truck rides like butter! I'm sure I can probably crank the Radflo's another 1" and still have a smooth ride. In the long run coilovers are going to be your best bet but hopefully someone with Bilstein's whose already done with the setup you're going for can chime in

I will be trying to get coilovers eventually but cant right now and wont be able to for a while. so i just want to smooth the ride out until then
Bump
anyone with the same bilstein setup?
Take the sway bar off. thats free.

Bottom setting will help as the preload will be less on the spring.

The sway bar was removed when the lift was installed, so since i will be on the bottom setting of the bilstein with less preload in the spring but with a bigger spacer i should ride smoother??
you should.
you should.
So spacers dont effect ride quality until they start creating coil bucket contract??
they do. with a taller spacer pushes the shock down farther which changes the characteristics. Now some would say the spacer is better then the preload. Personally, i dropped to a smaller size spacer and the truck rides better without touching the preload. this is with Fox 2.5's though. also with DK boxed LCA's. so different variables. Generally speaking, speakers decrease your travel.

IMO you'll still benefit with bilstein on bottom setting and a bit bigger spacer. But who knows till you try it. not to mention the placebo effect, it'll feel better for a week or two and then be back to square one. lol
Same here when I had a similar situation I reached out to fellow members Honda, Paprox, CVTitan and others but until you try it than you'll never know. So for me no issues for now except the toe problem but once I install the maxtrac spindle that might all change?
Well i guess i'll just have to try it and see what happens, do yall think jumping from a 1.5 inch spacer to a 3 inch is too much?
as Honda said generally if feels as if it is riding better just because you changed something slightly but in fact may be the same or hardly different. the taller spacer with less pre load may make a softer ride.

Yes. but your call:devil:
