I've got an '08 2wd with k&n CAI, JBA headers and banks catback I also just ordered a helix TBS. I've been reading into superchips cortex and bullydogs power pup... I see a lot of people recommend Up Rev, I got on their website and I'm a little confused about which to get. The truck is my everyday driver. I'm looking for more power without running high octane all the time. Are the BDPP and Cortex just set programs for the truck? Does it take in account every mod I've made? Any differences between the two? Then the up rev... is it really worth spending that much? Even if my plans do not include any more mods? Any help would be great, Thanks

Well I don't have all those upgrades but I just put the powerpup and love it!! WOT and *2advace. Good amout of power and options for a decent cost... But I think most guys with headers and all your stuff usally go uprev..from what I read on here... Good luck.. BTW. How do u like the banks exaust? Was gonna get that or the borla..

Uprev is not so much a handeheld programmer. Its more a taylor made program requiring a laptop to use. Its the best for tuning with your specific mods. I have about the mods you have with a Superchips Cortex and it works great for my requirements. I mostly run 87 octane fuel with their 87 tune. If you just want some more HP/TQ and abilities to monitor different parameters get either the SC or BD programmers. They include their own handheld device. As said before, Uprev requires a laptop but is more taylor made for racing applications with specific mods taken into consideration. All including Uprev include the cable to hook to your vehicle as well as the USB cable for computer connections. All are computer upgradable and can read and clear trouble codes. I recommend Superchips Cortex or Flashpaq(basically the same thing) because thats what i have. LOL

He's absolutely right. I missed that in his post when i read it. Uprev is a must for anyone running aftermarket headers. They can make a tune taylor made for you.

The Banks is MEAN, good sound with the headers. I was battling between Nismo and Banks.. in the end i bought the banks nd headers at the same time for the same price as the nismo. so because i have headers i should do the Uprev? do they have different tunes for different octanes of am i going to be stuck with one? I also read the SC and BD have different modes... milage, performance, ect... is the Uprev the same? Thanks Again

Yes Uprev has 3-5 maps (or tunes) that will be stored on your ECU depending on the year of your truck. 04-05 titans ECU can hold 3 tunes, 06-up can hold 5. For my maps I chose 91 oct drag, 91 oct street, 91 oct towing, 85-87 oct. economy, and a Valet tune. I recently had the Cortex and Uprev is far superior in my opinion. I have similar mods including LT headers and I wish I would have not bought the Cortex it is nothing like Uprev.

Awesome, did they help you with setting your rev limits and speed limits or did you choose your own, if you did, would you mind sharing what they were and why? Sorry, Im not much of a gear head.

I don't have Uprev but i will tell you that raising the rev limiter will not gain you anything. The Titan actually is set slightly too high from the factory. It would be best to slightly lower the rev limiter to maybe 5800-5900. As far as the top speed limiter raise with caution. You have to make sure that your tires are rated for the speed at which you set it. If you run at speeds higher than your tires speed rating you could be asking for a death ride. Tires can come apart at speeds above their ratings. Good luck with Uprev, its a great product with good tech support.

Sorry it took me so long to respond but I set may governer/top speed at 120 and I believe that my rev limiter is set to 6200 rpm because thats what they said would be best. I think the rev limit is a little high but when I get my shift kit in it should feel good. I have actually done some runs when I had the superchip and noticed that the truck ran better with the rev limiter raised as compared to stock.

No reason to change injectors or fuel pump, only reprogram fuel tables with Uprev tuning software.
