I'll keep my question simple. How many of the new Titan XD owners are 2010 or newer previous generation Titan (with the big tow package) owners?

I say specifically big tow owners because it seems to me that the XD model is just a different way to classify what we used to know as big tow package (which I love). My current 2010 Titan can tow 9400# which I do several times a summer. I am curious if there are others who owned a similar model truck and have upgraded. Is the bump up to higher towing worth it or am I better off to stay with my known, awesome, towing machine?

I upgraded from a 2015 to a 2017 the new XD is a whole new level of truck. Maxing out your capabilities weight wise will only cause more wear and tear on a vehicle.

My new XD does more than I need it to do and that is a plus. It's not a rebranded truck, it's a new power train backed by a 100,000 mile warranty. If your happy keep your truck. I loved my old Titan but the capabilities of the new XD along with the rebates offered now were too great to pass on. For me a check engine light turned into a new truck.

Here's my 2 cents. The first gen Titan was a 3/4 ton truck. The XD is a one ton truck. The new gen is way heavier and almost 14 inches longer than a 17 non XD. If you break this truck, you are doing something that almost defys the laws of physics. To me, the XD Titan is a tank on wheels. You'll own it for a lifetime. I just can't get over the ugly front end. With that being said, I'm sure I will own one in the near future, after my 2010 takes a dump. I don't see that happening for a while.
