I have a 04 kc 4x4. Im currently running the original shocks with a 2" lift spacer with the rc sway bar end links and nothing in the back. I have around 130k on the truck and the shocks badly need to be replaced. Everyone talks about the 5100s so I'll order those. If I put the 5100s in and keep the 2" spacer I'll have to get big upper control arms right? What's the best priced ones? Will this setup give me 3"+ in the front? Is this a safe height? Will it cook my cvs? I see everyone adds blocks in the rear. Why aren't people adding a leaf for more height? Would that be a good option?

For one inch a block I think is the easiest and cheapest option. Add a leaf in my experiences in the past make for a harsh ride. But in turn do help with rear end sag when loaded down. I kept a few old bags of cement in my bed when I had aal in my z71.

If you put the Bilsteins on the middle setting, that will give you a total lift of 3" up front, which will be fine. the least expensive UCA's are Rough Country which will cost about $300. As for the back, lots of guys use Deaver packs instead of blocks, they are definitely nice, but more spendy and take more work to install than a block.

I just looked at those Deaver packs and they look pretty sweet. Looks like they only over 4"+ lifts. I'm looking for around 1". If I were to put a 6" lift in the truck the dealers look like the way to go for the rear.

C-10 pack should only be about 1.5"of lift, C-30's are for bigger lifts.
