Uprev, Bullydog, or Superchips?

I am considering getting a tuner for my truck, mine is an 04, so it looks like Bullydog is out of the question for me. What is everyone's opinion on these? Thanks in advance :hi:

It depends on what future mods you plan on doing.
Not trying to be rude, but give the search function a shot. You will find more opinions on this subject than you will care to read.

I knew this was coming, I did a search after I posted this thread and found a plethora of information on the subject. :bangit:
Excellent, and which one are you leaning towards?
I am leaning towards Uprev, BD looks like it would be great but unfortunately it won't work on my model year. I still need to research them a little more. :read:
you can afford uprev by all means get it...... but if your on a budget the just stick to the superchips
I have been tossing back and forth as to which type of tuner to go with. For a while I was set on going with Uprev, but their customer service doesn't seem to be a priority. It's difficult to get answers from them, let alone a return e-mail.
I am waiting for my superchips as we speak, I ordered it thursday

They take care of their customers but its a small operation so it takes some time for them to respond SOMTIMES. At least in my experience and after meeting the crew i can see that they all know their stuff and what their doing. so good that even nissan is hiring them to put together tunes for nismo packages because they where years ahead of nissan in the aftermarket 350z world. My experience with the handheld tuners has been quite different. Hypertech particuraly will email you back right away but will give some BS answer for any problems you are having. Most of the time its some receptionist customer service person acting like they know the tech info . Hypertech blames the problem on anyone else and uprev will try and help you solve the problem. They even helped a member at a dyno meet that was using a bullydog programmer to try and fix the issues he was having with it in his truck. I would say thats going above and beyond. Ive been burned many times with handhelds and cant afford to replace any more motors
Just my experiences

I have spoken with Richard and Jared many times via email and phone.
If you plan on leaving your truck stock or not doing anything other than a CAI and cat back system the Superchips will do everything you need and save a few hundred bucks. If you plan to do anything more than a CAI and Cat back spend the extra money and get the Uprev. They can custom tune your engine.

I'm sure that's true. I bet they get plenty of e-mails and phone calls, and have to spend the largest amount of time with customers who have purchased their product. I also was just relaying my personal experience.

No prob. thats what the forums are for. So we dont get hosed buying faulty products. As stated above anything more than a CAI and exhaust you will need uprev. Even with only those mods and a handheld i would feel better to at least get it logged once to make sure your in safe afr territory. I had a CAI with out a tune and was dangerous lean (first generation S&B filter).Good thing i had other data log software or i coulda done some damage. Also if the afr is too far off the ecu will try to correct and dump in exra fuel. My fuel milage went down to 5-9mpg at best before i fixed the prob
May be old news but hypertch has a chip for the Titan.

looks like superchips will probably add speedometer calibration next, based on the poll which I will pass on to them. so if you dont need custom, superchips is the best for the money (4 tunes(including gas saver), datalogging and soon to be speedo calibration). you would need three different units (Max, Eco and speedo) from hypertech and spend close to $900 to get close to the features that superchips offers, but you will still lack data logging.
After I installed my 87 octane tune with superchips all I can say is wow....amazing. Like a totally different truck, seems like it shifts gears in the blink of an eye and the pedal is supertouchy...I love it. There is no more hesitation at all, you stomp it and it goes. You can lay down the rubber and be going 80 before you know it....amazing. This is the best money I think I ever spent....intake and exhaust and superchips on my 04 le 4x4 or...feels like a sports car.
I'm taking my truck up to Indiana from Georgia (about 930miles) when I come home for R&R and I've been wondering about the economy tune on a stock Titan. Will I notice a big enough improvement on a stock truck or should I wait till I get my exhaust and intake before I purchase the SuperChips unit? I'm running a 2007 SE 4X2 w/o Big Tow.
well honestly it couldn;t hurt. With the way gas prices are now though...you might not be saving all that much money :D
