Newbie here, so Ill try to be brief and descriptive. 2007 Titan SE w/Tow package.
l'll even put the tldr at he top: Does code P1774 bad solenoid require the entire valve body to be replaced?
Driving home from work the other day, it was raining and lots of traffic. Still, I noticed the truck was running funny. RPMs running high, didn't seems to be shifting. I finally got a bit of road and was able to gas it a bit and that what was happening. Speed up to 40ish, RPM over 4k and no shift. At a light I tried using the 'manual' shift to go from 1-4, but vehicle behaved the same, the manual gear shifting had no effect.
I had to get gas, and when I was at the station a pump in a different lane opened, but I was unable to go in reverse to get to the open pump. So I waited, crossed my fingers and shut it down and filled up.
When I restarted and headed out, it seemed to be driving normally. I was able to get a bit of road and validate that. It was shifting appropriately and when I got to the dealer I was able to verify Reverse was back. I still decided it was too weird and left it there over night and now I have a bunch of code and a $1700 quote for a new valve body.
I have listed the codes below:
P1774
c1704
c1705
c1706
c1707
c1708
c1711
c1719
c1724
c1726
c1735
p1731
Any thoughts and or advice would be much appreciated!
Curious if you or the dealer checked the fluid?
And do the codes return right away, key on engine running, or key on ignition on, or held in stored codes.
