I bought a used 2011 Titan in July 2012 with 15,000 miles. I had the worst vibration in the world but assumed it was the terrible OEM tires that I had read about. So I sucked it up till tire time.
Purchased tires in April and the vibration was there as soon as I left but then on some days it would disappear. You could watch the passengers arm rest just shaking and could feel it in the arm rest when it wasn't so bad. Soda's in the drink holder on a 3 hour trip, FLAT.
Replaced the shocks myself with 5100's, 2nd perch, due to the plan to by a travel trailer. The OEM shocks road like a caddy with the Nitto's on, those are some heavy tires!!!!!!! Still same issue.
So recently I bought a boat and just didn't have time to change my fluids, I am at 30,000 miles. So I took it to the dealer, kept mentioning the vibration, not as bad as before but it's there. I sucked it up and had the dealer replace all lower fluids; front, rear, transfer case, high and low gear all with synthetic.
Guess what vibration is totally gone! Truck rides as smooth as can be!
PS - First post ever and I just want to thank everyone for the tips, tricks, how-to's. I know how frustrating the vibration is and I wanted to let you all know.:hi:
