I have a 2010 Titan pro4x. I purchased it with the Volant Cold air intake system already installed. Did some research, and it shows the whole kit having a box around the filter, and an additional optional induction scoop. Mine is lacking the box and scoop. Will this affect the potential performance of the intake? If so, how would I purchase JUST the box and scoop?

Is it just the tube with a filter sticking off of it? Don't think that'd be too good as you'll get hot air from the engine.

I suppose you could contact Volant to buy the box. But at this point, I would just install the Airaid MXP.

Not many guys are running the scoop. I think it requires losing your driver side tow hook.

Yes it's exactly that. Basically an air filter with no housing.

As far as the tow hook goes, I already installed a Fab Fours winch bumper with rail.

Like HRTKD said, I would suggest contacting Volant for a box. If you can't get one I'd suggest either fabbing one up if you're not too interested in looks or getting another CAI. Temps in the engine compartment get pretty high and they'll just go straight into the intake.
