Hi, I wanted your opinion on adding a cold air intake to my 2019 Nissan Titan SV ? Does it help any noticeable horse power? How hard is it to install and lastly which type or brand should I be buying? Thanks In Advance!

I've just installed a ScanGauge 3, and one of the options is to read the intake temperature. Watching what I am seeing in terms of intake temperature, I don't see a need to spend extra dollars for "cold air." Besides, when the ambient temperature is 28 degrees Fahrenheit, all of the air is cold air.

My suspicion is that "cold air intake" is in reality an attempt to take in a greater volume of air, kind of a poor man's turbo if you will. In which case it boils down to snake oil.

Personally, I'd put that money into something else.

(Same post from another thread)

You'll get a bunch of mixed opinions but it's very simple. It sounds great with my Cajun catless b-pipes/cat back exhaust. In terms of power, I really couldn't tell you because I have a peddle commander on it but between those 3, I have zero issues with any of it.

Do it! It's 50/50 on here. Some say "don't waste your money" and some say "support the aftermarket." I fall into the latter group. I think it probably makes the throttle response alittle better on it's own and it does sound better. They're easy to install and fitment is good. K&N is tried and true - I'd go that route and they usually have them on-sale. The best $$ spent is probably a pedal commander but I have always liked a good CAI kit on a truck. I'll have one on my Armada soon. Not to mention, filter maintenance and visual inspection is easier. I like the washable aspect too.
