While i was out of town my truck sat for about a month and battery was dead. My wife jump started it and went to drive it and the "A/T check" light was on and it was very slow to accelerate. So when I returned home a few weeks later I went to take a look and the battery was dead again, I jumped it and and same problem. Took the truck to a local tranny shop and they refered me to the Nissan dealer because they couldnt get any codes off it. Took it to the dealer and they couldnt get any codes off it either. After it being @ the dealer for 3 days they called some "Nissan Tech" and came to the conclusion the tranny needs replaced but when I was trying to get a good explaination out of them they couldnt give me one. They just gave the run around saying that its either the computer inside the tranny or an internal failure of the tranny.
I dont know a whole lot about trannys but I am pretty sure the dealer has no clue what the problem is...
Any ideas would be helpful

oh no....
ive seen this issue a few times where someone will jump their T and it will fry the TCM. i dont think the dealer was messing w/ you...you will most likely need a new tranny. keep in mind dealers are remove and replace ppl only....troubleshooting is not their game.

maybe someone else will chime in with different possibilities. good luck and keep us posted
btw...i dont "jump" start any of my vehicles or anyone elses for that matter. you nvr know when the other person might have a bad voltage regulator or something.
