Well, there's always the excuse of, "that's a real pain in the tail..."

Yep. I'm so tight sometimes I squeak when I walk. I can't see paying for stuff I can do. I enjoy wrenching so it's a double win for me. Spent a full Saturday swapping front bearings and CV axles, plus (surprise!) lower control arms on my daughter's 2012 Rogue a year or so ago. Wife asked me why I "wasted" a Saturday on that. Explained the shop quoted me $2300 to do the job, and that was before I discovered the control arms were shot, too. I paid about $500 in parts. Easy decision for me. Told her I should get to use the savings to buy a lift. Didn't win that battle.

Got a response to the email I sent Z1 Off-road about my order. Apparently Nissan has a National backorder on the driver's side valve cover. That's why the order hasn't shipped yet.

Their going to go ahead and ship the rest of my order. I also asked if they have a rough ETA on when it will be available again?

Lame. Usually (from pst experience) they show real time stock and ship quickly.
Now their telling me that the drivers side cover is on National backorder and they have no idea when it will be available. I'm never using Z1 Off-road ever again... They should have let me know that when I ordered them and not waited 2wks to tell me that... ARRGH

Definitely poor customer service. Sorry for the issue.

It's all good man. I just sent them another email to cancel the order. I'll find them somewhere else hopefully.

Z1 is sending everything but the 1 cover that is on National backorder.

There was a miscommunication between us because I was under the impression that the valve covers are only sold in pairs like mentioned on their site.

Come to find out they are sold separately, but Z1 offers everything together as a kit. If they would have told me that to begin with then I would have understood a lot better and not gotten upset.

Not their fault really, I should have done more research and learned that myself.

Oh well, we live and learn and life goes on. Hope everyone is having a great day! 🤙🏼

Now I need to find a driver's side valve cover F/S.

Received my order from Z1 today! (1) passenger side valve cover and both gaskets.

Shout out to them for being patient with me and for their time sending emails back and forth. 🙌🏼

I was under the impression that the valve covers are only sold in pairs but Z1 customer service assured me that I can purchase (1) separately from another retailer. (They offer the covers and gaskets together as a kit)

Just so happened that (1) of the covers is on National backorder from Nissan)

I just need to find a driver's side valve cover F/S now so I can get started. 👍🏼

Edit: Whoops, didn't realize I ended up out of the 2nd gen forum somehow...

New shoes and a trip through the no-touch car wash.

Since moving to South Dakota 9 months ago, I've been having a lot of issues w/ flat tires on the factory General Grabbers. But not from the usual suspects (nails, screws, etc) but literally punctures from little pointed rocks from the 10 miles of gravel road leading to my house. Quite a shock to me, having tons of experience w/ gravel roads back in WA where I used to live and never had an issue w/ flats on them. Chatted with my "neighbor" and he said 10 ply tires are a must.

Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain ATs, apparently a Discount Tire exclusive.

I found out the hard way today that the tailgates are different between a 2007 and 2013...
Bought a hard molded polymer bed cap for my 2013 Titan (bought the truck just yesterday) and found out when mounting it that the tailgate lips a way different. Oh well I only paid $250 for it and they normally run over $1000. I'm going to trim the lip or the cap to fit over the tailgate so it can be locked.

I bought my 2015 truck about 2 months ago and so far I've had a bed liner sprayed in, windows tinted, replaced both front wheel bearings, replaced the air cabin filter, replaced the power steering hose assembly, added the rear diff tube vent upgrade, replaced the radiator with a new all aluminum one, replaced all the coolant hoses, thermostat, serpentine belt, changed the transmission fluid and now the process of repairing and painting the engine cover since it was broke.
