First post in like 5 years or so! Probably a good thing since I only post when I need help! Couldn't figure out my login/password so just created a new login. Anyways, 2004 King Cab 2WD with 166,000 miles. Saw a spot of oil in the driveway and got underneath. Not looking good under there. Can someone tell me what this leaking box of sorts is just behind the fuel tank? Can't really tell if the pinion seal is leaking also or if it's just dropping from this box. Also got the dreaded axle seal leaks AGAIN which were not there about 2 months ago when I changed the oil. Fixed those myself about 5 or 6 years ago so I guess it is about that time again (or something like that). Any links to step-by-steps on this leak would be greatly appreciated. Or estimates on what I can expect if I take into an indy shop. Thanks guys.

It's your pinion seal that is leaking. It's sending the gear oil onto everything else.

37L1 is right, that box is your EVAP canister, no oil in it.
